Nedley Health Solutions is an organization focused on eradicating depression and anxiety. Sadly, at a time when our world has progressed so far in many areas, depression is still a daily battle for people all over the world.

Dr. Neil Nedley specialized in internal medicine. Yet, he came to see that 25% of his patients suffered from depression and anxiety. Instead of continuing in internal medicine, he pivoted to helping this new segment of patients. He studied and ended up writing a number of books.

Nedley Health Solutions was borne out of this effort. Every day, this organization makes a difference in countless lives. People in all walks of life facing this same monster are set free.

We had the privilege of moving their website from Magento 1 up to Magento 2.

The problem/starting point:

Nedley Health was not optimized for mobile users. One option was to make Magento 1 responsive. Yet, Magento 1’s end-of-life was rapidly approaching. Unless there was an immediate, urgent need, why invest in a platform that is soon to be obsolete?

In addition, through reviewing Nedley’s analytics, they had been on a significant decline in organic search traffic through 2019. This, obviously, resulted in a drop in sales.

The solution:

SwiftOtter built Nedley a new ecommerce experience on the Magento 2 platform. Highest on the agenda was to ensure that that mobile devices can smoothly browse the website. Second is ensuring that the new site at least maintains the same SEO value.

Both were accomplished.

The launch was exceptionally smooth. One thing that is important to us at SwiftOtter is to view the launch as choreography. The more practice the smoother the launch goes. Every website is different and has it’s unique challenges. We hone and repeat our processes for the final covers. As a result, they are usually less than an hour of downtime (we have seen a number of major sites be down for hours and hours, which is lost sales right there.
