Andrea Gonzalez
Director, UX Strategy and CRO
Andrea has spent most of her career moving deeper into eCommerce, from digital marketing into product management, then running a $30M eCommerce P&L as a director, and eventually landing on the agency side where she gets to do what she loves most: help brands grow through better user experiences. She works with a user-first lens because she genuinely believes it's the most sustainable path to growth. That means talking to actual users, understanding where they get stuck, and turning messy signals into clear direction. She's worked across food, wine, CPG, fashion, and B2B SaaS, and has lived in enough places to know that good research and good design translate everywhere.
Location & Scenery
Based in Melbourne, Australia, recently returning after 10 years living across the US and Southern Europe. City-based but surrounded by gorgeous eucalyptus trees whose smell drifts into her apartment every morning. She considers that a very good way to start the day.
Special Skills
User research. It is a craft she takes seriously and keeps getting sharper at, turning what users say, do, and feel into something a team can actually build toward. She is also excellent at finding the interesting problem underneath the obvious one.
Fun Fact
Her dog's first language is Spanish. Her parents are Latin American, their dog has fully followed suit, and she would not have it any other way.
Outside of Work
Creating and learning about art, watching Barcelona FC, reading, and losing herself in long-form podcasts and documentaries. She was lucky enough to live in Venice, Italy for six months, a city she describes as an open-air museum, and that experience has never really left her. She also has a growing obsession with Barcelona Football Club that started after living in Spain, which she says is entirely reasonable.
Favorite part of being an Otter?
Working with great people on interesting, tricky problems through a user-first lens. That combination does not get old.
