SwiftOtter builds websites

We specialize in building beautiful websites that not only look great, but also have a high conversion rate and operate at lightning-fast speeds. Our team of experts combines design, development, and digital marketing to create ecommerce websites that meet your business needs and exceed your expectations.

Guided requirements gathering

We believe that the quality of the foundation determines its longevity. The first phase of a build (of any size) is identifying what needs to be built. We call this the discovery as we must discover what needs to be built. The outcome is a document that defines what needs to be built.

While discovery may seem unnecessary, this is the critical step toward a successful (on-time + on-budget) outcome. This process typically involves conducting interviews or workshops to collect information about business and technical requirements and user needs. This is condensed into a series of line items. This is only the first round.

We bring this information back to you for your review. We engage in a consultative approach to narrow down the scope and split it into useful phases.

Project handoff

Once the project is defined, we are ready to begin building. The solutioning team will hand off the project to the implementation team. You will be involved in a call to meet the fine people who will shepherd this through to completion.

Implementation team leadership

We believe in only working with the finest people. You can expect these roles to be part of your implementation plan:

  • Project Manager: the project manager is your point of contact at SwiftOtter. They ensure your priorities are communicated to the team and the work is accomplished on-time and on budget. They compile biweekly status reports to keep you appraised of the workflow.
  • Technical Lead and/or Solutions Architect: you will regularly interact with this person. This architect brings senior-level capabilities to direct the project technically.
  • Business Analyst: they bring business acumen to the table. They are your best friend when determining the value that a project will bring to you. They will provide ongoing recommendations on improving your sales or conversion rate.
  • Developer: these are the boots-on-the-ground, get-it-done folks. They make the magic happen.
  • QA: we thoroughly test the features we deliver. These people take responsibility for vetting, poking, and trying to break what our developers have written. They do this before and after delivery to production to ensure everything is working as expected.

Ongoing communication

Communication is critical to the success of your project. You will have access to our team through a number of channels:

  • Our project management software. You have complete access to what we are working on. You can drop comments here.
  • Regular status meetings. We present a highly-detailed status report with transparent information on our project status. We then jump on a 15-30 minute call to review the report to synchronize our priorities with your expectations.
  • Email and/or Slack. Old-school email always works. Shoot over an email and we'll get right back to you.
