What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? Exploring DFW’s sports scene and perfecting my aim at the shooting range. And I'm a frequent visitor to California’s Redwoods and beaches—nature therapy at its finest!

Fun Fact: I skip the turkey and make gourmet pizza for Thanksgiving every year. Last year, I made a Detroit-style pizza with acorn squash, chanterelle mushrooms, and homemade sausage. Anyone in eCommerce knows that Thanksgiving isn't really a day off, so by doing a pizza instead of a traditional turkey, I can prep the night before, and still be able to enjoy the afternoon.

Favorite Tool or Tech: I have to shout out Notion because I use it both at work and at home.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? I love hiking with my dog because it's free and I love the scenery. I’m also into PC gaming and cooking.

Favorite part of being an Otter? Working with the team of experts we have assembled some of the best. That's something I knew going in, and it has held true.

Short Bio: From building web servers in my bedroom to my twelve years in ecommerce management and solutions, I like to know how things work. I enjoy connecting business goals to technical requirements and solving complex problems using coffee as fuel.

Location and Scenery: I live in a rural area of Santa Fe, Argentina, surrounded by rivers and farms, making nature a daily part of life.

Special Skills: Translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language, often using slides, diagrams, and other tools for additional clarity.

Fun Fact: I once spent six months crafting a technical presentation with over 100 slides, most of which featured code samples. It’s still my favorite presentation to date.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? I love playing tennis. I take weekly lessons to keep improving and enjoy competing in tournaments.

Short Bio: I started building for the web in 2005 and began working with Magento in 2009. Since then, I’ve had the chance to work with both Magento 1 and Magento 2, covering Magento Open Source (formerly Community Edition) and Magento Commerce (formerly Enterprise) on projects of all types and sizes.

Location and Scenery: I'm located in Mesa, Arizona, and I am a life-long denizen of the desert! I have been living in the East Valley for about 20 years. Arizona is hot, but we have some of the most beautiful sunsets, awesome monsoon seasons, and a great diversity of places to visit. Bonus! The Grand Canyon state is one of the funnest places if you're into cars and driving!

Special Skills: I'm crazy about digital interfaces! From web to software, video games and mobile apps, I am passionate about Front-End Development, Interface Design, UX, and Interaction Design.

Fun Fact: I love interaction design and interactive media, and was in game development for a good number of years, specializing in interface design and game systems/mechanics design.

Favorite Tool or Tech: I love working with most interface design and development tools. Figma and Photoshop/Illustrator for design/illustration, and HTML/CSS/JS for development. Any tool, library, or tech that allows me to create and build interfaces is something I'll explore and utilize.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? When I'm not building eCommerce solutions, I love to exercise, read, draw, and play guitar.

Favorite part of being an Otter? Easily the best part of working at SwiftOtter is the talent and passion our team has. We all love eCommerce and designing/building solutions for our clients. There's so much to learn when it comes to effective eCommerce development, and SwiftOtter is a great environment for learning and applying modern eCommerce methodologies.

Short Bio: I've been building eCommerce solutions for nearly 8 years, contributing to design, UX, Interaction Design, Illustration, and Front-End Development. My experience with educational software, video games, and web development has allowed me to work across many areas within eCommerce. I've been fortunate enough to contribute to many projects that have provided effective and impactful online shopping solutions for a wide range of markets.

Location and Scenery: I live in southeastern Connecticut, not far from Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, and the Navy Base. Despite these high-traffic places, it's relatively rural. We have lots of great wooded areas and parks, and we're right near the coast. It's quintessential New England, and I love living here.

Special Skills: I have an ever-expanding catalog of song lyrics and movie and television quotes stored in my brain, and those memories get accessed when people say anything even remotely similar to one of those quotes. I'm also working on my otter puns for all our socials.

Fun Fact: Less than a year after adopting my first retired racing greyhound, I joined the adoption group's Board of Directors and it became a full-blown greyhound obsession. I currently own three-- Kuku (PJ Skirt Skirt), Tater Tot, and Arlo (UCME Foehammer), and have fostered about 30 newly retired greyhounds since 2020.

Favorite Tool or Tech: Canva, Grammarly, and Otter AI are three of my top-used tools.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? I'm always trying new crafting techniques and have been really into UV and epoxy resin crafts lately. I also love music; my mom is my concert buddy and we have been to so many incredible shows together. I've also been getting back into playing music myself, and I currently dabble in bass guitar and fiddle.

Favorite part of being an Otter? The encouragement to grow personally and professionally. Knowing SwiftOtter's reputation in the Magento education space, this makes perfect sense. But in addition to celebrating professional certifications and achievements, it's so cool to see the personal wins we share with each other and the encouragement that comes pouring in afterward.

Short Bio: I worked in retail for most of my professional life. When COVID temporarily shut down the boutique I was managing, that time away from retail made me realize I was ready for a change. I volunteered full-time with our greyhound adoption group, taking over most of the social media and newsletter responsibilities. When my partner, Ben (a Magento Developer who used SwiftOtter's study materials), saw that SwiftOtter was looking to start growing its marketing team, he suggested it might be just the change I had been looking for. I couldn't be more grateful to have the freedom to work from home with an incredible team and still have time for my volunteer work.

Location and Scenery: I live in Springfield, Georgia, about 45 minutes from Savannah and close to the coast. The area is flat and wooded, and I’m lucky to be just an hour’s drive (plus a 45-minute kayak trip) from secluded beaches and islands.

Special Skills: Animal wrangler extraordinaire— rescued kittens, flying squirrels, and other small animals. I also do beekeeping.

Fun Fact: I've milked snakes before.

Favorite Tool or Tech: PHPStorm. I keep learning more about it and it's really cool what you can do with it.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? Anything outdoors! I love fishing and kayaking, and I own five or six kayaks. I've got a couple touring kayaks, a larger fishing kayak that's actually pedal drive tandem, and then a couple small ones to just kind of throw around.

Favorite Part of Being an Otter: The close-knit team and commitment to excellence. I’ve learned from some of the best developers, and I appreciate how we always do things the right way. It's really nice to be a small enough team that you can get to know everybody.

Short Bio: I started my career at SwiftOtter straight out of high school. After completing certifications in computer repair, networking, and security, I joined the team when Joseph saw potential in a web development course I had taken. Back then, it was just a small group of us, so it’s been amazing to grow with the company and watch it expand.

Location and Scenery: Coding from the vibrant city of India, Chandigarh —where innovation meets natural beauty! Surrounded by the lush green of the Shivalik hills and the structured design of the city.

Special Skills: I’m your go-to person for transforming “I don’t know if this is possible” into “Here’s your solution!” Whether it’s taming Magento, tweaking BigCommerce, or building custom solutions in Shopify, I’ll make it happen.

Fun Fact: I’ve been known to spend way too much time figuring out the best way to organize my desk—it's a work of art in progress. I’m also that person who’ll try to beat their own personal best in something random, like how many push-ups I can do between coding breaks!

Favorite Tool or Tech: PHPStorm is my powerhouse, Warden+Docker, Postman and GraphQL sandboxes for any API mysteries. Recently, Node.js and React have become my new partners in code crime!

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? When I’m off the clock, you’ll either catch me playing with my daughter or diving into a new hobby (digital art, cricket, and a little bit of cooking experimentation) or scouting out Chandigarh’s best food spots with friends. Sometimes binge-watching my latest series (there’s always a new one).

Short Bio: With 12 years of experience, certifications in Magento and BigCommerce, and a knack for building seamless eCommerce solutions, I’ve mastered the art of platform wizardry. Whether it's Magento's complex architecture, BigCommerce's flexibility, or crafting custom solutions in Shopify and WordPress, I’ve got it covered. I’ve been part of the SwiftOtter family more than four years now to help build seamless, reliable eCommerce experiences. Location and Scenery: I live in Valencia, Spain, a city with a beautiful sea and a long, sandy beach lined with palm trees. The beach here is wide enough that even on the busiest days, there’s always space for everyone. Valencia also has mountains nearby, which adds to its charm. Right now, I live in the city center, but I’m planning to move to the suburbs soon to enjoy a calmer area.

Special Skills: Bug-Smasher Extraordinaire. I’m a full-stack developer (or a one-man army), so I work on both front-end and back-end projects, though I specialize more in back-end. My superpower? Smashing bugs. I love diving into buggy, legacy code that others might avoid. Finding the root cause of a nasty bug and fixing it is incredibly satisfying!

Fun Fact: I have a few fun facts!

1. Bronze Medalist in Footbag: I used to compete in footbag, which is a more technical and sporty version of hacky sack. I won a bronze medal in the World Championships, multiple gold medals in the Polish Championships, and a silver in the European Championships. I haven’t played in years, but I was really passionate about it for a decade.
2. Published Author: I’ve self-published four novels, and I’m finishing my fifth. One of my books is even translated into English! I read about 25 books a year, and I make it a habit to read for at least 30 minutes before bed.
3. TikToker: I started a TikTok account earlier this year to share funny takes on books, and it’s grown to over 14,000 followers. My account isn’t just about my books—I also talk about others I’ve read, always adding a comedic twist. I even had people recognize me at a book fair in Warsaw this year, which was such a cool experience.
4. 100% Success Rate at Interviews: I've only been interviewed for new jobs twice, and was hired both times. My job history looks short on LinkedIn, but my years of experience are long.

Favorite Tool or Tech: I couldn’t work without PHPStorm—it’s my cockpit for everything I do. I also use ChatGPT Pro daily for coding, debugging, brainstorming, and even tackling tricky challenges.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? I love reading novels, playing football (or soccer, as it's called in the US), and hanging out with my local football group in Valencia. Playing FIFA used to be my thing, but now I get to live out my football dream on the pitch twice a week! I also enjoy playing Minecraft with my son on Saturdays—it’s become our special dad-and-son time.

Favorite part of being an Otter? I love how we focus on quality at SwiftOtter. It’s refreshing to work in an environment where the leadership pushes us to do everything top-notch, even if it means taking a breath during crunch times. We’re small but mighty, and I hope we stay that way—achieving big things as a tight-knit team.

Short Bio: I’m a proud husband to Agata and father to Max. My journey in programming started when I was just 14, inspired by my dad's hobby of creating programs long before Windows was a thing! My career has been spent in just two companies: first with a Polish eCommerce agency, where I grew from their first developer to CTO, and now with SwiftOtter. I reached out to Joseph during COVID, and the next day, I was offered a role—a decision I’m so glad I made.

Location and Scenery: Missourian Suburbia. I live in the Ozarks, in a suburban neighborhood. It’s a pretty quiet and normal setting.

Special Skills: Finding gaps in processes that need to be fixed. Wrangling chaos and herding cats...or otters. Building strong relationships.

Fun Fact: I am the only one in my family with an accent. I was born in Missouri but grew up in South Africa, so I’ve got an accent that keeps Thanksgiving dinner extra interesting.

Favorite Tool or Tech: Confluence. It's not done until it's documented. Also, building Relationships. Building connections is the most underrated tool in project management.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? Every Friday, my family and I have pizza night. We make pizzas from scratch, bake them in our outdoor pizza oven, and then enjoy them with a movie. I even got into launching pizzas during the pandemic—yes, like flinging them into the oven! I also love to read, ride my Peloton and take walks in our neighborhood.

Short Bio: I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and moved to USA when I was 17. Graduated with a degree in Computer Science and have been developing software for over 12 years.

Location and Scenery: I’m based in Loveland, Colorado, surrounded by mountains. It’s my favorite place to be, especially after living in Wisconsin for 30 years, where there weren’t any mountains.

Fun Fact: I have my own self-hosted streaming service called MattFlix.

Favorite Tool or Tech: Web sockets are currently my favorite technology. As for tools, I’m a big fan of Node.js—it’s my “pseudo tool” of choice.

What do you like to do to unwind outside of work? Driving in the mountains is one of my favorite parts of the day, when I have the chance.

Short Bio: I’ve been working in agency-related roles for over 16 years, starting out with nonprofit organizations before diving into the world of Magento development. Over time with SwiftOtter, I’ve transitioned into more of a management role, but I'm very emphatic about software. I have a home lab (a little server rack) so I can always continue learning and growing. I’m a mountain fanatic, and also a Porsche fanatic.

Location and Scenery: I’m in Springfield, Georgia. The scenery here is very flat, and there are a lot of pine trees.

Special Skills: At work, I enjoy creating automated tests, even though I’m still learning. I’ve also been focusing on accessibility testing, which is something not everyone includes, but I think it’s important and beneficial for our clients. Outside of work, I really enjoy cooking.
